To better understand this emerging market and the opportunities that lie ahead, InfoTrends is pleased to announce a new global multi-client study entitled Mobile Imaging - Technology Trends, Consumer Behavior, and Business Strategies. This study will answer key questions about consumers' use of camera phones and plans for these handsets from a wide range of technology vendors in key geographic regions around the world. The study is designed to assist digital camera and mobile handset suppliers, wireless service providers, and photo printing equipment and services vendors with succeeding in this market. Primary research for the global study includes structured Web-based surveys of 1,500 consumers and 150 photo retailers, as well as one-on-one telephone interviews with technology vendors and wireless service providers. The consumer interviews will include respondents from key regions including:
The primary research will provide important insights on segmentation, customer requirements, usage patterns, purchase plans, and other factors that will drive vendors' product, service, and marketing strategies. The multi-client study will also incorporate insights from InfoTrends’ extensive research on the digital camera and camera phone markets, and digital photo printing trends. The report will include a worldwide market forecast for camera phone shipments and revenues as well as photo printing activity by key product segments and geographic markets. InfoTrends will analyze the impact of camera phones on digital still cameras and one-time use cameras. “Over the next few years, there will be a wide range of camera phones with value propositions that appeal to each market segment and affect consumer behavior related to capturing, storing, viewing, printing, and distributing images,” commented Jeff Hayes, a Director at CAP Ventures. “It is important for vendors to be in front of this technology adoption curve and introduce new products, services, and pricing that help shape this consumer behavior.” To learn more about the study or to sign up as a client, please contact Matthew O’Keefe at or via e-mail at .
