Jacob K. Javits Convention Center

The Convention Center is dedicated to late New York Senator Jacob K. Javits. The 15- story building is constructed by 16,000 pieces of glass with two main halls and a huge lobby. The Galleria River pavilion provides the additional open space and two outdoor terraces.

The Convention Center is located at 34th St; a modern glass building overlooks the Hudson River. It was designed by I. M. Pei for large-scale expositions. Since opened in 1986, it has hosted many political conventions, annual automobile shows and fashion shows. It is a favorable place for fashion shoots and movie setting.
