The availability of digital print and alternative media channels has brought about new opportunities as well as threats to print in the advertising and publishing industries. An increasing percentage of content produced by publishing companies is migrating to electronic format, and many advertising companies are leveraging the Internet in their campaigns. Ralf Schlozer, Director of InfoTrends’ European On Demand Printing and Publishing Consulting Service, stated, “Print must evolve to maintain its role as an essential function within the publishing and advertising industries.
