Chris Bondy Joins InfoTrends as Group Director

(Weymouth, MA) September 14, 2009 . . . InfoTrends is pleased to announce that Chris Bondy has joined the firm as Group Director, Cross-Media Workflow Solutions. Chris will be responsible for expanding InfoTrends’ production workflow and customized communications practice into cross-media and data-driven marketing and publishing applications. He will be working with technology vendors and print/marketing service providers on strategy and technology implementation planning through custom engagements and syndicated services.

Over his 30-year career, Chris has developed extensive experience in strategy, business development, product planning, process reengineering, and sales/marketing for commercial printing, publishing and in-plant printing companies, and manufacturers of graphic arts and marketing communication products and services.

Prior to joining InfoTrends, Chris was the Chief Technology Office for Direct Mail Holdings (DMH), a large, full service direct mail company that mails over 1 billion pieces annually through serving the fundraising, financial, healthcare, consumer services and consumer products markets. At DMH he conceptualized and launched several next-generation Web-services solutions for consumer photo memory products and digital asset management. He also standardized all information technology applications across DMH by driving common use of key software solutions including ERP (PrintStream), Composition (GMC) and Postal Optimization (Business Objects and Monticello).

Chris also has extensive experience working for leading technology vendors including Kodak and Xerox. At Kodak's Nexpress division he was Vice President, Worldwide Director, Professional Services & Solutions. In this role he helped develop an architectural framework and managed a cross-Kodak workflow integration taskforce to reconcile all workflow components into a common structure.

At Xerox he held the position of Vice President, Marketing & Practice Management, in which he developed strategies and staffed the first production solutions marketing team to deliver marketing research, marketing communications and channel development for all advanced solutions that enabled monochrome and color digital production printing systems. He also held the position of Vice President & Chief Engineer, Production Solutions Business Team, in which he established architectural plans and recruited a 40-person development team for Xerox' variable information solutions development program.

"We are very fortunate to have Chris Bondy join our team,” commented Jeff Hayes, President, InfoTrends. "He has a unique combination of technical and operations experience at both large and small print service providers, as well as extensive experience in product and solutions planning and marketing, working for two of the leading technology vendors in our industry."

"The marketing value chain is in the midst of a major transition -- from independent programs to more integrated cross-media campaigns. This transition is triggered by the need for more personal and timely communications in a variety of different forms,” noted Chris Bondy. “Helping technology vendors, marketers and the service provider community more effectively select and deploy next generation solutions will leverage my skills and complement the services offering at Info Trends. I am very excited about the opportunities provided to me at InfoTrends."
