InfoTrends Brings International Conference to Australia

Connect09 Australia makes its debut, sharing learnings on how to ‘Be Future Proof’

26 February 2009, Sydney . . . For the first time ever, InfoTrends – organisers of the respected OnDemand Conference in the U.S. and world leaders in document technology strategy and consulting – will bring their expertise to Sydney at Connect09 Australia.

Targeted at the print and communication services industries, Connect09 Australia is presented in collaboration with InfoTrends and supported by Attributes Associates, a leading industry consulting firm from the UK.

To be held on Monday 19 and Tuesday 20 October at the Sofitel Sydney Wentworth Hotel, this inaugural event will share valuable trends and learnings with attendees under the theme of ‘Be Future Proof’.

Keynote speakers are InfoTrends’ Group Director, Barbara Pellow and Attributes Associates Principal, Andrew Tribute.

As the leading worldwide market research and strategic consulting firm for the digital imaging and document solutions industry, with recent conferences in China and Russia, InfoTrends, together with Attributes Associates will moderate this event which will feature several local successful business executives and leading graphic communication topic experts.

The conference content is designed to help print and communication services providers take their companies from ‘surviving to thriving’.

“We are delighted to present our views and most recent research findings to the Australian business community involved in the graphic arts and associated services industries,” said Barbara Pellow of InfoTrends.  “Globally, InfoTrends provides research, analysis, forecasts, and advice to help clients understand market trends, identify opportunities, and develop strategies to grow their businesses.  And that’s exactly what we will be sharing with attendees at Connect09 Australia.”

Andrew Tribute, managing partner of Attributes Associates, said:  “I am continually impressed by the level of knowledge and expertise in the graphic communications industry in Australia. In many areas it has been at the forefront of the industry worldwide in successfully implementing new technologies.”

“The innovation shown and initiatives taken by Australian providers of print and associated services are on a par with countries such as the UK and the USA.  Testament of achievements by local communication providers has been evident through the successes achieved by the likes of The Digital Centre in the recent PIXI Awards, a program by Xerox Corporation to recognise the world’s most dynamic providers in the area of print and graphic communication.”

Besides their respective keynote sessions, Barbara Pellow and Andrew Tribute will act as moderators for the duration of the event.  “As a regular visitor to Australia for many years I have seen some dramatic changes in this industry over past years and predict we will have more changes in the next five years than we have seen in the past ten.  I look forward to sharing my views with the Australian audience,” said Tribute.

The conference will run over two days and will include six individual, repeatable tracks each day – twelve session in total.  The sessions will cover the trends, challenges, pitfalls, new opportunities and general business issues with topics such as New Opportunities Everywhere!, Thriving In An e-commerce World, From Print Provider to Marketing Guru, and many more.

Registration for the conference opens in March 2009. For more information, go to www.connectaustralia.com.au or contact Eliot Harper at   Phone enquiries can be directed to 02 9881 5862.
