Print Service Providers e-Enabling Offerings in Record Numbers


(Weymouth, MA) February 10, 2009 . . . To remain competitive in today’s fast-paced environment, print service providers (PSPs) must enhance their offerings with e-enabled value-added services. Doing this will improve operational efficiencies and create deeper customer relationships that keep the competition out. 

Traditional and non-traditional providers are moving to e-enable their offerings in record numbers. InfoTrends’ research indicates that 82% of PSPs will be offering Web-to-print services within the next 2 years. While the level of sophistication of these services will vary, almost all will include a Web portal or storefront solution, and many will offer personalization, e-catalog systems, and multi-channel marketing capabilities. 

This growth is not surprising, as our research reflects significant benefits to users of e-business solutions. Our respondents reported an average increase of 8% in print volume attributable to e-business services, and an 8.1% increase in revenue. These rates are significantly higher than general industry growth, which is in the low single digits.
