Conference attendees chose from over 15 conference sessions structured in two conference tracks during the two-day program. Speakers examined key growth applications, technologies, value-added services, and other opportunities and discussed how to incorporate them into existing business strategies. The conference brought together valuable industry perspectives from consultants, digital printing users, and vendors. The second day of the conference began with an opening address by Liu Xiaokai, Vice Director General of the Printing & Reproducing Industry Management Department of the General Administration for Press and Publication of the People’s Republic of China. Mr. Xiaokai congratulated the organizers on the success of the conference and spoke about the fast pace of the growth of the digital printing market. “This is a great event for the digital printing industry and it will play a positive role in the development of the printing industry in China,” commented Mr. Xiaokai. “The printing industry in China will be better prepared to reach out to the outside world and participate in the development of the global digital printing industry.” Mr. Xiaokai discussed how the Chinese government is encouraging innovation and promoting the increasing strength of the printing industry. He stated that printing will soon have a more prominent position in daily life, as China is entering a more prosperous era. He also remarked that the conference would help China play a more active role in the global printing industry, and encouraged the audience to continue to support this event in the future. The exposition took place over a three-day period in Hall 9 of a multi-hall exhibition complex in Beijing. Attendees were able to see and touch the latest digital printing technologies from the industry’s leading suppliers.
