eCopy & AIIM to Keynote European Office Document Technology Conference

(Weymouth, MA) October 2, 2007… InfoTrends, the leading worldwide market research and consulting firm for the digital imaging and document solutions industry, will host its first annual European Office Document Technology Forum 24-25 October 2007 at the Mövenpick Hotel in Amsterdam.

Day one will open with InfoTrends’ “State of the Market Address” by Randy Dazo, Director of Consumer Services. This big-picture session will examine the solutions market forecast through 2011 and discuss the strategies and trends that continue to push this exploding area of the office document technology business.

This will set the stage for a dynamic keynote presentation by Edward Schmid, President and CEO of eCopy. Schmid will present “The Art of Partnering and Collaboration.” He will share his observations on how software and hardware vendors can leverage partnering and collaboration to gain a powerful competitive advantage.

“As the document technology ecosystem continues to expand, it is becoming increasingly critical that office equipment manufacturers and ISVs determine the optimum strategies for working with partners,” commented Mr. Schmid. “Success will be driven by your company’s ability to strike a balance between your goals, your partners’ goals, and, most importantly, the goals of the end-user community.”

Day two’s keynote, entitled, “Changing the Paradigm from TCO to TVO – Total Value of Ownership,” will be presented by Hanns Köhler-Krüner, Director Global Education Services EMEA, AIIM. Mr. Köhler-Krüner will discuss a new way to address customers to help them see the real value of their new IT investments.

“While the total cost of ownership has received much attention in recent years, total value to an organization offers a superior method for assessing the benefits of IT projects,” commented Köhler-Krüner. “Using a total value approach, companies consider the benefits that can be achieved not only from cost-cutting, but also from improved business processes based on new technology.”

The program also includes informative and thought-provoking presentations and panel debates from highly-respected industry leaders like Canon Europe, Captaris, DocuWare AG, Doxense, Equitrac, Konica Minolta Business Solutions Group GmbH, Sharp Electronics Europe, Xerox, and many more.

“We have a remarkable lineup of speakers for our inaugural event,” commented Randy Dazo, Director at InfoTrends. “These companies represent the industry leaders that will shape the future of document solutions in Western European. Attendees will want to hear their perspectives and insights.”
