Recharge Asia Magazine to Host 2nd Annual Event (Weymouth, MA) April 9, 2007...John Shane, Director of the Communication Supplies Consulting Service at InfoTrends, will appear at the at the Second Annual Asian Imaging Forum (AIF) in Singapore (June 15 – 16). InfoTrends is a leading worldwide consulting firm for the digital imaging and document solutions industry. Mr. Shane will address the latest trends and developments in the European and U.S. office imaging markets. Shane is a well-known expert on all-in-one toner cartridges, the cartridge recycling industry, and the world toner industry. He has conducted extensive research to track trends related to inkjet cartridges, refills, and compatibles. “AIF offers an exciting opportu-nity to meet and learn from corporations worldwide that provide the tone, ink, and raw ma-terials that are used in the tone and ink making process,” Shane commented. “I am excited to be a part of the program and to share InfoTrends’ perspective on the Western markets.” AIF, produced by Recharge Asia Magazine, immediately precedes the inaugural RechargExpo (June 17-19), an imaging Exposition that is expected to attract thousands of visitors from many countries in the Asia Pacific Region as well as the Western nations. Director Sunny Sun noted, “The new trade show, held June 17 to 19 at the giant Suntec International Convention & Exhibition Center, will complement AIF 2007, but most important is the optimum location of RechargExpo that makes it so unique and accessible for all Asian companies in the imaging industry.” Conference Chair Graham J. Galliford, a world-renowned consultant to the imaging industry, observed, “East meets West at these two special events. Here, Asian producers will again welcome their Western counterparts from the vast markets of the United States, Europe, and Latin America.” In 2006, the event’s inaugural year, AIF was an immediate success, drawing about 150 participants. They came from Asian toner, OPC drum, ink jet ink and imaging hard-ware manufacturers in China, Hong Kong, India, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Tai-wan and Thailand. Many also came from from Europe, the United Kingdom, and the United States. This year, more Registrants are expected from all of these countries as well as other nations in South America and the Middle East. AIF 2007 coincides with the RechargExpo 2007 trade show for the imaging industry, an event that will likely attract thousands of visitors from OEM and aftermarket firms. For most Asians, Singapore is a prized destination for a number of reasons: It is a clean, safe and peaceful venue where both Chinese and English languages are spoken. It is the world’s fourth largest foreign exchange trading center after London, New York City and Tokyo; and, it has been rated as the most business-friendly economy in the world. Singapore is also a favored destination for these nationals because its assimilated population includes Chinese (76.8%), Malaysian (13.9%), and Indian (7.9%) citizens. The island-state Singapore derives its name from the Malay words singa (lion) and pura (city). Bartenders recognize the city’s world famous Raffles hotel as the home of the Singapore Sling many of these concoctions will likely be consumed during RechargExpo 2007! Here is a tentative outline of the two-day Forum: Friday, June 15
