(Weymouth, MA) October 19, 2005… InfoTrends/CAP Ventures is pleased to announce that Xplor International has joined its quarterly Production Print Industry Tracking (PPIT) program, which has been tracking print service provider trends since 2000. Through its various industry partnerships, InfoTrends/CAP Ventures’ PPIT program surveys a range of print providers including commercial printers, digital print specialists, direct mail printers, data processing service bureaus, in-plant graphic departments, and data centers. “Xplor brings to the program many print providers who have been leaders in the digital printing revolution,” commented Charles A. Pesko, Managing Director at InfoTrends/CAP Ventures. “We are thrilled that Xplor is helping us to track its constituents and combine with our other partners to provide valuable insight on the broader production printing industry.” “Xplor International is eager to team with InfoTrends/CAP Ventures and its partners for a survey program of this importance,” said Paul LeTourneur, General Manager of Xplor International. “These quarterly end-user surveys are expected to return a true representation of the direction, potential, and growth for the industry. Our members will find this research invaluable in benchmarking their own company against industry wide metrics and directions.” For digital and traditional printing, as well as value-added services, the PPIT program monitors key industry metrics such as print volume growth, demand, outlook, and product acquisition plans. The next quarterly PPIT survey will be launched in mid-October 2005. Partners Xplor, OutputLinks.com, and WhatTheyThink.com will each deploy the survey to their constituents. Key findings from the research will be available from each partner. Comprehensive findings will be available to InfoTrends/CAP Ventures clients.
