ImageScape Press Event at the 2005 International CES to Highlight the Latest Digital Photography Research and Forecast Trends

(Weymouth, MA) December, 15 2004... According to a newly released InfoTrends/CAP Ventures forecast, worldwide digital camera revenue is expected to reach 24 billion dollars in 2004.   Add to that a 15% increase in US camera phone penetration from 2003 to 2004, and explosive growth in both photo print and digital display options, and you have a market with tremendous potential for expansion in 2005.

On Wednesday, January 5th, which is press day at the 2005 International CES, members of the press and media will be invited to participate in “ImageScape: Flash Forward’s Premier Press Event,” a luncheon and demo event sponsored by Kodak.   ImageScape was initially developed in 1996 to connect press and analysts with leading vendors, digital imaging industry experts and senior executives.  ImageScape at the 2004 International CES attracted 200 members of the general and technical media.

ImageScape at the 2005 International CES will be held right in the Flash Forward 2.0 TechZone, and will provide media members and exhibitors with the chance to meet one-on-one for product demos and interviews with exhibitors before the show opens.  Attendees will also be made privy to the latest digital imaging research and forecast trends via a 30 minute analyst session at the start of the event.

“This year we will incorporate a number of different analyst perspectives into our ImageScape discussion,” said Kristy Holch, Group Director for InfoTrends/CAP Ventures.   “Each of our analysts will give a snapshot of the 2005 outlook for various elements of the digital imaging chain, from capture to share, store and print.  They will provide insights on how people are using photos, and what drives their decisions about what devices to purchase and where to print.  Attendees will develop a clear understanding of the trends for 2005, and what vendors must do to accelerate acceptance of digital photography and related solutions.”

Flash Forward 2.0 will be located in the new Central Plaza adjacent to Central Hall.  Several marquis sponsor names and a compelling mix of products and services are expected to draw a crowd.  The list includes:
