(Weymouth, MA) August, 26 2003... The 2004 International CES today announced a partnership with InfoTrends Research Group to produce "Flash Forward: Bringing Digital Imaging Into Focus," a new 12,000 square-foot TechZone providing a first look at the latest digital imaging innovations. The 2004 International CES, the world's largest consumer technology tradeshow, runs January 8-11 in Las Vegas, Nevada. "Partnering with a prestigious group like InfoTrends Research Group further solidifies CES as the number one tradeshow to witness the latest in digital imaging products and technology," said Karen Chupka, Vice President of Events and Conferences for the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA), the producer of the International CES. "We have placed a special focus on digital imaging technology in 2004 with the creation of the Flash Forward TechZone, educational sessions, and increased presence of powerhouse manufacturers to truly put the International CES on the map as the venue for everything that encompasses the digital imaging industry." "The digital imaging industry has experienced phenomenal growth during the last several years and digital photography will be one of the top consumer pursuits for 2004," said Kristy Holch, Group Director for InfoTrends Research Group. "CES is highlighting this exciting, fast-moving area with a focused area on the floor of the largest tradeshow in the United States. The selection of products and vendors in 'Flash Forward' will give retailers a first look at state-of-the-market developments, while educational sessions in the Solutions Center will give them added insight and knowledge. This will translate into better merchandising and consumer adoption." To further highlight the impact of emerging digital imaging products on everyday life, InfoTrends and CES are hosting ImageScape 2004, an exclusive press event providing reporters with a sneak peak at new technologies the day before the show opens. In addition to previewing the latest in digital imaging while visiting the "Flash Forward" TechZone, CES media will have the opportunity to network with select retailers, catch up on the latest digital imaging research and forecast trends, and interview digital imaging industry experts and senior executives.
