Charles A. Pesko, Jr., to be honored with Print On Demand Pioneer Award

(Weymouth, MA) March 1, 2000…Charles A. Pesko, Jr., Managing Director of CAP Ventures, Inc., a Norwell based market research and consulting firm, was honored today as a recipient of the inaugural "Print On Demand Pioneer Awards", at the 7^th annual ON DEMAND Digital Printing & Publishing Strategy Conference and Exposition. Pesko received a Pioneer Award for his outstanding contributions to the printing and publishing industry

The Pioneer Awards, established by Cygnus Business Media in conjunction with Advanstar Communications, celebrate a decade of business advances and technology developments that are transforming the graphics arts industry. The Awards were designed to recognize those individuals who have gone above and beyond the call of their professional obligations to contribute to the development of the digital printing industry. These individuals have directed their resources to build a brand new printing category, which has become the fastest growing segment of the graphic arts industry. Charles A. Pesko, Jr. is one of ten distinguished recipients who were celebrated during the awards presentation.

Charles A. Pesko, Jr. founded CAP Ventures, Inc., in 1991 to serve the digital printing and publishing, electronic imaging and document management industries. CAP Ventures’ services include strategic consulting, market research, seminars, training, publications, and trade events for vendors and end-user organizations. With more than 25 years of industry experience, Mr. Pesko has provided research and consulting services for literally every major player in the world-wide electronic printing and electronic imaging market.

Mr. Pesko was the founding publisher of Print On Demand Business Magazine, and was the founder and chairman of ImagingWorld (now KM World) Magazine. He is also the co-founder of the ON DEMAND Digital Printing & Publishing Show, and The Imaging Expo (now KM World).

Prior to creating CAP Ventures, Mr. Pesko was the founder of CAP International, which later became BIS Strategic Decisions, a Nynex company. The company grew to become one of the largest information technology consulting firms in the world, employing more than 325 people with offices in twelve major cities around the world, supporting a customer base of over 10,000.  

Mr. Pesko’s enterprises have been recognized four times among the fastest growing privately held companies in America by Inc. magazine. CAP Ventures was ranked #69 in 1997 and #204 in 1998 on the Inc. 500.
