(New York, NY) --- February 29, 2000 --- The Seventh Annual CAP Ventures’ Print On Demand Innovation Leadership Awards were presented to the creative leaders of the print on demand industry today. The awards were presented during the opening keynote session at the 2000 On Demand Digital Printing and Publishing Strategy Conference and Exposition in New York City. Each year the on demand printing industry enters a new stage in development and this year is no different. The winning applications represent a wide range of companies utilizing print on demand technology to dramatically bring creative and compelling business solutions to a new level. A total of 10 winners were chosen from among four categories; Innovative Use of Technology; Business Case for Digital Print; One-to-One Communications and Large Format. Each entry utilized a variety of technologies including innovative approaches to solving a business problem, improvements in production through re-engineering, improved delivery of product, quality production, competitive pricing, and internet based ordering systems. The entries validate the diverse range of print-on-demand applications available, and the market’s acceptance of the advantages that this technology delivers. "We are impressed by the innovative ways in which on-demand and related technologies are revolutionizing the way that businesses are gaining better quality, faster turnarounds, and bottom line improvements," commented CAP Ventures’ Managing Director, Charles A. Pesko, Jr. "The judges were certainly challenged this year to make some difficult decisions" Pesko continued.
