Philippe Kahn to Keynote ImageScape 2000

(Weymouth, MA) February, 09 2000... Press Event Draws World Market Leaders to Exhibit New Digital Imaging Technologies to Drive E-Commerce

InfoTrends Research Group, Inc., today announced that Philippe Kahn, founder of Borland and now Chairman of LightSurf Technologies, Inc., will deliver the keynote address at ImageScape 2000 - "E-Commerce and Imaging" at Spring Internet World in Los Angeles, CA. The champagne breakfast event, scheduled for the morning of April 6 from 7AM - 11AM, will highlight the explosive growth of image-related e-commerce activities on the Internet.

Online photo communities give Internet users new ways to share and print their photos in digital form. Images also are being used commercially to generate e-commerce sales. The focus on these applications will give the sponsors of this event the opportunity to exhibit and demonstrate the future directions of these emerging technologies. Solutions for capturing, processing, displaying, storing, printing and distributing images at both consumer and commercial levels will be showcased.

This breakfast event will take place at the Hotel Inter-Continental in Los Angeles. The event draws high-profile sponsoring firms that will include the major leaders in the use of digital imaging in electronic commerce.

Mr. Kahn is no stranger to the leading edge of technology. After leaving Borland International in 1994 (now known as Inprise), he founded Starfish Software which was subsequently acquired by Motorola in 1998 and now operates as an independent subsidiary. He now heads LightSurf Technologies, where he is developing instant wireless digital photography technology to let consumers take pictures and beam them directly to the Internet for instant sharing of images around the world. Mr. Kahn is also involved in funding and advising multiple exciting new ventures in Silicon Valley while maintaining his roles as CEO of LightSurf, Starfish and technology advisor to the office of the CEO at Motorola.

InfoTrends Research Group, expects ImageScape 2000 - "E-Commerce and Imaging" to extend the interactions between attendees and industry participants that have become a tradition at the continuing series of ImageScape events.

"Interest in digital imaging continues to soar as the technology matures into an accepted and necessary component of Web-based communication, from top-tier marketing to consumer-level e-mail messaging and work-group collaborations," noted Holch. "As at our previous ImageScape events, those who attend ImageScape 2000 will find themselves at the cutting edge of digital imaging in the e-commerce arena. It will be a vital center for making affiliations, trading ideas and exchanging information in this exciting, rapidly developing marketplace."
